According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, consumer prices rose 9.1% from June 2021 to June 2022, the highest rate since 1981. But households in different age groups spend money differently, so inflation rates vary by age, too. This interactive visualization shows average spending for households at each age, in more than 200 categories that make up the inflation index.
